Our Approach

See clearly. Decide with confidence. Every scan asked the right question.

Imaging is one of the most powerful tools in modern medicine, but only when it is asked the right question. Our radiology service is built around that principle: choosing the right modality, reading it carefully, and pairing it with the clinical context that turns an image into a decision.

What our imaging covers.

Six core areas that together describe almost every imaging question we are asked. Your physician will guide which study fits your case.

01

Whole-Body MRI

Comprehensive preventive imaging that screens the body for early, treatable change in a single high-resolution study.

02

Cardiac Imaging

Coronary CT, calcium scoring and structural assessment to quantify cardiovascular risk with precision.

03

Advanced Neuro Imaging

MRI of the brain and spine to assess cognitive health, vascular integrity and early neurodegenerative change.

04

Musculoskeletal

Targeted MRI and ultrasound for joints, tendons and the demands of an active life.

05

Abdominal & Pelvic

Imaging of the liver, kidneys, pancreas and pelvic organs for metabolic and oncological screening.

06

Vascular Imaging

Detailed assessment of arterial and venous systems for cardiovascular and circulatory health.

Department Lead

Led by Dr. Shafaath Husain, Consultant Radiologist.

Fellowship-trained in Body Imaging with over eighteen years of diagnostic expertise spanning abdominal, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology and spine imaging. He sets the standard for every study read at Lifecore and works alongside our cardiology, endocrinology and functional medicine teams.

How it works

Four stages, from clinical question to clear plan.

No two imaging journeys look identical, but the path that builds them is shared. Each stage informs the next, and your physician walks through it with you.

01

Indicate

Imaging begins with a clinical question. Your physician sets the indication and chooses the modality so the study is asked the right thing.

02

Image

High-field MRI, modern CT and expert-led ultrasound, performed by experienced radiographers in a calm, well-equipped environment.

03

Interpret

Studies are reported by consultant radiologists with sub-specialist input where indicated, never by image alone.

04

Integrate

Findings are reviewed alongside your bloodwork, history and goals, with you and your physician walking through the report together.

Within the department

The studies and reporting that bring it to life.

Radiology at Lifecore is not a single scan. It is a network of modalities and expertise, chosen and sequenced for the question in front of you.

01

Whole-Body MRI Screening

Comprehensive preventive screening across the body in a single study.

02

Cardiac CT & Calcium Scoring

Quantifies coronary risk with non-invasive, high-resolution imaging.

03

Brain MRI

Detailed cerebral and cerebrovascular imaging for cognitive and neurological assessment.

04

Musculoskeletal MRI & Ultrasound

Joints, tendons and sports-related injury, read by sub-specialists.

05

Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging

Liver, kidney, pancreas and pelvic organs in metabolic and oncological context.

06

Vascular & Doppler Studies

Arterial and venous assessment for circulatory and cardiovascular health.

07

AI-Assisted Reporting

Modern algorithms support the radiologist, never replace them, sharpening detection of subtle change.

08

Integrated Clinical Review

Every report is read alongside your bloodwork, history and goals.

The Lifecore Difference

Imaging without context can mislead as easily as it informs. Our service is built so every scan is requested for a reason and explained in the wider story of your health.

Reports are sat with, not sent. You and your physician walk through the findings, the implications and the plan together.

Frequently asked

Questions about radiology.

A few of the questions our guests ask most often. If you would like to explore something specific, our radiologists are happy to talk it through with you.

  • Yes. Imaging is requested by one of our physicians after a clinical review, so the modality and indication are right for you.

  • For many clients yes, particularly those prioritising early detection. Your physician will discuss whether it fits your case before recommending it.

  • Modalities are chosen with safety in mind. MRI uses no ionising radiation; CT is used judiciously and only where it adds clear clinical value.

  • Most reports are issued within 24 to 72 hours. Urgent findings are flagged to your physician immediately.

  • Yes. With your consent we share reports and images securely with any clinician you nominate.

An image is only as useful as the question it answers.

At Lifecore, every scan begins with a clinical question and ends with a clear plan. We do not image for the sake of it. We image to decide, and to act with confidence.
