Our Approach

Good medicine begins with good data. The lab that underwrites every plan.

Our pathology service is built to provide it — quickly, accurately and across the depth of markers preventive and longevity medicine demand. Results are reviewed in context, never in isolation, and feed directly into the plan your physician writes for you.

What our laboratory covers.

Six core areas that together describe almost every clinical question we are asked to test. Your physician will guide which panels fit your case.

01

Comprehensive Bloodwork

Full chemistries, complete blood count and metabolic profiling for a foundational picture of health.

02

Advanced Lipids & Inflammation

ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP and particle profiling for a precise reading of cardiovascular risk.

03

Hormones & Endocrine

Thyroid, adrenal and sex-hormone panels for men and women across every life stage.

04

Micronutrient Status

Vitamins, minerals and amino acids assessed in detail to guide nutrition and IV protocols.

05

Gut & Microbiome

Comprehensive stool and microbiome testing that informs functional and digestive plans.

06

Specialist Panels

Allergy, autoimmune, infection and genomic markers as required by your clinical pathway.

Department Lead

Led by Dr. Sushma Umrao, Consultant Pathologist.

How it works

Four stages, from clinical question to clear plan.

No two pathology requests look identical, but the path that builds them is shared. Each stage informs the next, and your physician walks through it with you.

01

Indicate

Testing begins with a clinical question. Your physician sets the indication and panels so the lab is asked the right thing, not everything.

02

Collect

Phlebotomy and sample collection are performed on site by experienced staff in a calm, well-equipped environment.

03

Process

Samples are processed in our in-house laboratory under strict quality control — CAP-aligned standards and ISO 15189 discipline.

04

Interpret

Results are reviewed by our consultant pathologist and your physician together, then walked through with you in plain language.

Within the laboratory

The panels and methods that bring it to life.

Pathology at Lifecore is not a single panel. It is a network of methods and expertise, chosen and sequenced for the question in front of you.

01

Foundational Health Panels

Standard chemistries, CBC and metabolic markers for a clear baseline picture.

02

Advanced Cardiovascular

ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, particle profiling and the lipids modern cardiology actually uses.

03

Hormone Profiling

Thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones for men and women, reported in clinical context.

04

Micronutrient Analysis

Vitamins, minerals and amino acids measured in detail to direct nutrition and IVs.

05

Gut & Microbiome

Stool, calprotectin and microbiome panels for digestion, immunity and metabolic health.

06

Genomics & Pharmacogenomics

Genomic risk and drug response panels reported by our consultant pathologist.

07

Mass Spectrometry & HPLC

Reference-grade quantification for hormones, vitamins and metabolites where precision matters.

08

Integrated Clinical Review

Every result is read alongside your history, imaging and goals — never in isolation.

The Lifecore Difference

Most laboratories send a result to a clinician who reads it in a few minutes. Our pathology service sits in the same building as the physicians who order it, so the conversation about what it means starts immediately.

That proximity is the difference between a number on a page and a plan you can act on.

Frequently asked

Questions about pathology.

A few of the questions our guests ask most often. If you would like to explore something specific, our pathologists are happy to talk it through with you.

  • Most standard panels are reported within 24 to 48 hours. Specialist tests can take longer, and we will tell you exactly what to expect when they are ordered.

  • Yes. Every result is reviewed with you by a physician in plain language, with clear next steps and how it fits the wider plan.

  • Yes. You can book individual pathology panels with a short consultation so they are interpreted in clinical context, not handed over as numbers.

  • Concierge phlebotomy is available for selected memberships. Please ask our team for details.

  • Only with your consent. Reports can be shared securely with any clinicians you would like included in your care.

A result is only as useful as the question it answers.

At Lifecore, every panel begins with a clinical question and ends with a clear plan. We do not test for the sake of it. We test to decide, and to act with confidence.
